About Myssyfarmi and MÖSSAN Myssy

I bought my first Myssy many years ago and when I left my previous career behind me I gifted my ex colleagues with a Myssy from Myssyfarmi. I love these woollen hats. Myssyfarmi is a Finnish company based in Pöytyä. I am very excited about this collaboration and these limited edition MÖSSAN Myssy hats.

Every Myssy and MÖSSAN Myssy is knitted by a real Myssy Grandma in Pöytyä. Myssyfarmi get their unique hand-dyed yarn from a local herd of Finnsheep. Everything is organic and original in their farm and nothing, except winter, is cool in Pöytyä (although I tend to think that EVERYTHING is cool). Inside your MÖSSAN Myssy you will find a small notification made of cloth, signed by the Grandma that knitted your MÖSSAN Myssy.

HELGABAD’s MÖSSAN Myssy is a limited edition unisex knitted hat made of luxury organic Finn sheep wool from Finland. Similar in softness to Merino, the fiber’s overlapping scales point inward, making the yarn particularly soft. The luxury yarn is handdyed at Myssyfarmi’s farm, the delicate process preserves the wool’s natural grease, lanolin, which makes Myssyfarmi’s products naturally water and dirt resistant.

What might also be interesting for you to know is that the very first Myssy was knitted by a man, named Janne. Janne is a former professional windsurfer, who was stubborn, enough to learn how to knit his own hat. After touring the world for years, Janne returned home and found the love of his life: Anna, a designer born in Pöytyä. The Myssy story was born.
